Graphic Arts Color Filters for Flat Panel Displays.

Filmless printing, computer-to-plate, and digital transmission have made soft monitor proofing more desirable than ever before. The cathode ray tube (CRT) is being slowly displaced by flat panel displays, such as the active matrix liquid crystal display. The paper will describe an application of printing technology to flat panel color filter manufacture that lowers the cost of the color filter, and promises to give a better match to ink on paper.
