Abstract

Electricure electronic systems utilize electron acceleration to instantly change printing inks, coatings and adhesives to a solid dry state, thereby eliminating thermal drying and solving many of the problems that have always plagued the coating and printing industries. ElectriGraphics' systems approach to product manufacture has an immediate and significant effect on the cost and salability of printed products and, thus, profitability. The indirect benefits from the successful interweaving of the many complex factors include in-plant safety, environmental protection, energy conservation, increased production speeds, reduction in size and automation of printing plants. Four major graphic arts applications are explored in detail with emphasis on the unique opportunities made possible by this emerging technology. State of the Art parameters for EC systems are explored.
