Less Waste and Time: M.A.N.-Roland Plate and Coordinate Scanner

M.A.N.-Roland's plate scanner is designed to determine zonal printing plate ink coverage, expressed as a percentage, and compute therefrom the pre-setting of ink slides. The plate scanner's coordinate measuring device is described. Optimization of printing quality, waste reduction, and shorter make-ready are aims of multicolor, sheet-fed offset printing press manufacturers.
