Abstract
Today there are practical concerns relating to data storage and data transmission that make complete electronic systems for graphic art difficult and expensive. A review of the requirements identifies the data volumes involved as a function of system characteristics and shows that for some time to come a combination of electronic and film systems will be cost effective. will be cost effective.
