Register Control for Gravure Printing by Closed Circuit Television.

This paper relates to an apparatus for monitoring high speed process and more particularly a system suitable for inspection of color to color register variance during a printing operation. The monitoring apparatus does not restrict the pressman to a pre-determined position while viewing the web and incorporates a monochrome television camera chain with strobe illumination of the image.
