Abstract
The IBM 2680 CRT printer is an on-line high-speed electronic phototypesetting device that is used in conjunction with a System/360. The printer provides unique flexibility in phototypesetting at character rates of up to 6,000 characters per second, for a wide range of high volume printing, publishing, and technical documentation applications. The 2680 successfully combines the speed and flexibility of electronic data processing with the quality of present day typesetting practices, extending the power of System/360 into the graphic arts typesetting field.
