Abstract

For some applications, there is the need to know the effective dot areas that would produce a colorimetrically specified color. The Neugebauer equations can presently perform the reverse operation, given the dot areas. It computes the resulting color. A computer method is presented for the indirect solution of the Neugebauer equations. A modified form of the Neugebauer equations is used, which improves their accuracy.
