Abstract
This presentation describes a microfilm to plate system utilizing the computer controlled Signamatic projection platemaker, which automatically produces high quality offset plates directly from 35mm microfilm on any standard negative acting offset plate. The imposition is entirely automatic. The platemaker was produced by UMF Systems of California and is in operation at West Publishing Company.
