Instrumentation of a Digital Computer-Scanner for Color Separation.

The unique relationship between scanner mechanism and computer that results from digital computation is delineated and contrasted with the relationship which has resulted from analog computation. It is shown that the differences are fundamental and affect, in basic ways, the design and performance of not only the system but also all of the system components.
