Abstract

The use of starch powder to eliminate problems of offsetting in finished work at the delivery is common to many sheetfed operations United Air Specialists conducted tests to discover the most expedient way of eliminating the problems created by the fugitive overspray The application of self-contained electrostatic precipitators to control the spray were shown to be practical. There is no longer any question that the low velocity high volume capture and electrostatic collection techniques can be employed with most common press designs without creating unnecessary difficulties for the press crews.
