Abstract

The needs for offset as well as rotogravure printing are served by an integrated EDP system with a page make-up station Combiskop as common denominator. The identical hardware configuration of this station is adapted to the two printing processes by different softwares. In addition, the integration encompasses equipment which is already in existence i.e., the Chromagraph DC300 color scanner and considers devices which will be developed in the future. The estimates for the economics of the system indicate processing of 25 to 30 pages from scanning through finalized output in two 8 hour shifts.
